...there was a lovely woman and a kind man who fell in love and got married.
Ah... so innocent, so in love. Little did they know that in less than a year, their world would be turned upside down. Enter TQ, our little monkey, who started out like this:
And in no time at all, became this creature:
She's creative, adventurous, sensitive, magical, precocious, musical and very, very smart (I'm being completely objective, as you can see).
She amazes us every day with her imaginative spirit and intuition beyond her 3 1/2 years. She also sometimes makes me want to join the zoo, or the circus, or anywhere that will take me far, far away from our little home in the desert. But mostly, she just makes me proud.
[Please excuse the extra chins; they were having a sale--buy one, get one free-- and I just couldn't resist! You know how it is.]
Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to sharing tidbits of family life, lots of art and other random insanities with you. Let the adventures begin! Right now I have to go stop a little monkey who is attempting to clean the carpet with hair conditioner...could be worse, right?

Whee! Love that you finally started a blog... you'll have fun with it for sure! I love the name and I love your extra chins crack. May I use that? Then if I ever get rid of mine, I can say I donated them to Goodwill... because some people don't have ANY chins, you know.
Check out my blog - I finished photographing my new junk (well, okay, I'm scanning tonight's layout right now...)
I love it! Good start, Heather! I like the chin comment, too. Heehee!
I can TOTALLY relate to the feeling like running away with the circus or joining the peace corps! Hyper, stubborn children and ALL their paraphenalia and mess can make me bonkers and "escape" comes to mind often. Then they do something cute or say "I love you, Mommy!" and you melt.
We'll check in again soon!
Val
You are hilarious!
